so, i realize that i haven't blogged in awhile and, well, i had a baby so theres my excuse. ms. shaela rose oliver was born on August 1, 2007 at 5:43pm, weighing in at 8lbs 13oz and 21 inches. and if i do say so myself, she is a fine looking baby!!

for those of you who don't know, the birth was quite difficult to say the least. we tried to have her naturally and after 23 hours of labor i broke into a fever and had to have a c section. it was too freaking crazy awful to express. i mean, sure you forget about it after you hear the first cry of your new baby, but man, that shit was painful. then there were the demoralizing situations that came afterwards. lets just say that when you have a baby, there is no shame. strangers have to bath you, shave you, walk you to the bathroom and yes, wipe your ass for you. eww..

but shaela rose is the perfect little angel. just look at her. we have been home for 6 weeks and she already smiles and giggles at her mommy. she is super strong and it seems as if she is going to get up and walk one of these days. i think that comes later though.

anyway, our daily routine consists of feeding, pooping, burping, bathing and sleeping. what a dream. she eats like you wouldn't believe and then goes into her drunken milk state. takes after her mommy i guess.

from now on you can consider this a shaela rose blog. my little girl has taken over my heart and everything is always about her.
