grow up

so, i have been somewhat MIA for awhile due to a variety of things. one, i finally moved to the big city, which was quite an even in itself (being that we moved in the fuckin heat wave up to a 4th floor walk up), and then there were weddings and stupid landlords and stupid buildings and stupid griskas and so on. whether or not anyone missed me, i am determined to keep this blogging thing up. you know, for my peeps.

fuckin new york man. yes, i am here for good and could not be happier. i missed you new york, i really really missed you. i feel alive again. the kind of alive that only this city can do to you. and the bonus....all my rva favorites are here with me. charles, lauren, damon, tim and of course trebhan. pure greatness.

so what has kels been up to? lots of heavy drinking and feeling like, well, a celebrity! see, im on this sort of unemployment vacation. it was great for awhile, going out and seeing everyone and partying, however, i am now on the verge of a financial crisis. i forgot how damn expensive nyc is.

...but, there is an interview on the horizon. some fancy schmancy hotel needs a catering manager and i might just be the gal to do it. for awhile, i was toying with the idea of tossing my so called "career" and get back to just making money (i.e bartending, prostituting, stripping, whatever) but the masses seemed to disagree with that. appareantly, without a college degree i have limited opportunities. so, its either that or become a rock star and with my wussy attitude, that aint going nowhere.

so off i go into the responsible grown up world with my cheap suits and fake smiles. since i will probably never get married and most likely not pop out any babies, its the only thing to do to make mommy proud.
